Prison Library Upgrade

Prison is a confined area bounded by stonewalls and steel bars. Prisoners have to spend day and night within that specific confined area. So, they spend most of their time by just sleeping and chatting with each other. Their minds become dull due to lack of work and learnings. It is important to make their mind active. Library is the most effective method to make their mind sharp. They get daily news and gain knowledge, which helps them to use that knowledge after their release. Therefore, we are establishing libraries in different prisons.

We have a vision to establish library in all the 74 prisons of Nepal. We found that it is very useful for prisoners. Prison authority gave us the permission to establish libraries in the prisons of Nepal. This will be a mini library including two bookracks, a table, two benches, notice board, newspaper stand and about 300 books.
